About the Author
Carolyn Burjoski spent more than twenty years teaching elementary school, much of it in an Accelerated Basic Literacy Education program — a specialized class for multilingual learners in Grades 4 to 6 whose schooling had been interrupted, often as refugees of war. Teaching children to read was her life’s work.
She is a mother of three grown daughters and a grandmother of four. Her two awesome granddaughters were the reason she wrote this book.
Carolyn lives in Ontario, Canada. Her memoir, Cancelled Teacher, is in progress.
